About converting ZWG
Zimbabwe Gold, commonly called ZiG, is the currency name introduced by Zimbabwe's monetary authorities in 2024. The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe is the issuing and policy institution, and ZWG is the ISO code assigned to the currency for international systems. The code should not be confused with the domestic name: the bank's statement says the currency continues to be called Zimbabwe Gold or ZiG while ZWG identifies it on international platforms. ZiG is divided into cents in the formal denomination structure. Because this is a recent monetary reform, the rate date and source are especially important when reading a ZWG conversion.
Use this page when you want to start with Zimbabwe gold and compare them with multiple target currencies. The separate Zimbabwe Gold profile page covers the ISO code, symbol, issuer, countries and reference information.
The amounts shown here are reference calculations for comparison. Banks, cards and transfer services may apply their own spreads, fees and timing rules.
