About converting SLE
The Sierra Leonean leone is Sierra Leone's official currency and the unit used for local prices, salaries and public accounts. The Bank of Sierra Leone issues the currency and publishes information on its notes, coins and monetary framework. SLE is the ISO code for the current leone, replacing the former SLL code after the 2022 redenomination. One leone is divided into 100 cents. The current code and scale must remain clear in software because historical records may still contain amounts expressed in the old leone.
Use this page when you want to start with Sierra Leonean leones and compare them with multiple target currencies. The separate Sierra Leonean Leone profile page covers the ISO code, symbol, issuer, countries and reference information.
The amounts shown here are reference calculations for comparison. Banks, cards and transfer services may apply their own spreads, fees and timing rules.
Exchange-rate information is provided for reference only and is not financial, trading or investment advice.
