About converting KGS
The Kyrgyzstani som is Kyrgyzstan's official currency and the unit used for domestic prices, payments and public accounts. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic manages the currency framework and publishes information about som banknotes and coins. KGS is the ISO code used by international exchange-rate systems; the local name som is shared with several other currencies. One som is divided into 100 tyiyn. Showing the country and ISO code together prevents a generic search for som from returning the wrong monetary unit.
Use this page when you want to start with Kyrgyzstani soms and compare them with multiple target currencies. The separate Kyrgyzstani Som profile page covers the ISO code, symbol, issuer, countries and reference information.
The amounts shown here are reference calculations for comparison. Banks, cards and transfer services may apply their own spreads, fees and timing rules.
Exchange-rate information is provided for reference only and is not financial, trading or investment advice.
